Can I connect a subdomain to my account?

Connecting a subsite to your MemberSpace account allows your members to use the same login credentials and membership account across multiple sites — your main site and the connected subsite.

This setup also makes it easier for you, as the admin, to manage everything from one central dashboard — including Member Plans, Member Pages, Content Links, and Members.

If you’d like to connect a subsite to your existing MemberSpace account, simply email [email protected], and our team will handle the setup for you.

Below, you’ll find an overview of the two types of subsites:

Subdomain

If you’re connecting a subdomain (for example, members.memberspace.com when your main site is memberspace.com ), you’ll need to update your MemberSpace installation code.

Once we add the subdomain to your account, we’ll provide you with a new, updated install code. You’ll need to:

Replace the existing install code on your main website with the new one.
Add the same updated code to your subdomain site.

This ensures your members can log in seamlessly across both sites using the same credentials.

Below is an example of what an updated install code looks like:

Members will initially need to log in separately on both the main connected website as well as the subsite. However, moving forward, members will remain logged in when navigating between the two sites.

Cross-domain

A cross-domain example (if your main site is memberspace.com ) would be members.memberspace.org.

For cross-domains, there’s no need to update your MemberSpace install code. Because cross-domains cannot be authenticated automatically, you’ll simply:

Keep the existing install code on your main website.
Add the same install code to your cross-domain site.

Members will need to log in separately on each site, as they won’t stay logged in when navigating between domains. However, they can use the same login credentials and membership account across both sites for a seamless experience.
