How do you manage failed payments?

MemberSpace automatically helps you recover failed payments, abandoned signups, and cancellation attempts — so you don’t have to lift a finger!

When a member’s recurring payment fails (for example, if they’ve received a new credit card), MemberSpace will:

  • Automatically retry the payment using Stripe’s best-practice retry logic.
  • Prompt the member to update their payment details through branded email reminders and website popups.

Our recovery process follows Stripe’s retry schedule: we’ll attempt to charge the member 4 times over 3 weeks.

If the payment still fails after the 4th attempt, the member’s plan will be canceled, and they’ll lose access to any protected pages or content tied to that plan.
