How to install MemberSpace on WordPress (Plugin)

How to Download and Install the Plugin

1. Download the WordPress plugin zip file to your computer.
2. Log into your WordPress admin site and go to the "Plugins" section in the menu on the left.
3. Click "Add New" (on the left) then "Upload" (at the top, right).
4. Select the memberspace.zip file on your computer and drag it onto the "Install plugin" page.Depending on your device's security settings, when you downloaded the zip file in Step 1, it may have opened automatically.  In this case, you’ll have a folder in your device's "Downloads" folder called "memberspace/" instead of a "memberspace.zip" file.  You will need to first compress this folder by right-clicking (or holding) it and choosing "Compress" before you can upload it to WordPress.

   

5. Click the "Activate" button.
6. Next, click "Settings" > "MemberSpace" in the menu on the left.
7. If your WordPress site's domain name matches your MemberSpace site, the settings under "Configuration" will automatically be configured.  If the domains do not match, you will need to first find your MemberSpace subdomain in your MemberSpace backend. 
   
   You can find your subdomain in any of your MemberSpace links.  For example, go to "Customize" > "Integrations" > "Wordpress" in your MemberSpace backend.  From there, scroll down to "Login / Account Options" and locate your subdomain within the Login / Account Popup link.

   

   Then, in your WordPress backend, enter your MemberSpace subdomain > click "Save Settings."

   

   The "Enable Extra Security" box should be checked by default.  This will automatically add extra security to all Member Pages without needing to add the code to each individual page.

8. Now people can visit your website and join your Member Plans to get access to your Member Pages!

9. To test this, you'll need to be on your live website (not the WordPress editor).
   
   Once you successfully install MemberSpace, the Member Button will automatically display in the bottom right corner of all your website’s pages.  To customize the Member Button, check out this guide.
