How to add a Login / Account popup to WordPress

Adding The Popup Link To Your Top Navigation

If you want to add the popup link into your top navigation so anyone can click it at any time, follow the instructions below.

1. Click the "Copy" button under "Login / Account Popup":

2. Make sure you are logged into your WordPress backend editor and then click on Customize under the "Design" section. NOTE: We're using the "Modern Business" theme from WordPress so the wording and options you see in the steps below may vary depending on the theme you're using.

Then click on "Menus":

Then click on the Primary menu:

Then click on "Add Items" (on the bottom) and then click "Custom Links" on the top right:

Then paste in what you previously copied for the URL field and add any Link Text you want and click "Add to Menu":

7. Lastly don't forget to "Publish" your changes. Now whenever anyone clicks this link you just added, they will see your Login form popup.

To test this, you'll need to be on your live website (not the WordPress editor).

Conveniently, when members are logged in, this will appear as a "Your Account" link automatically so your members can change their email, view invoices, update their credit card, cancel their subscription, etc.

NOTE - if you would like to also have a Create Account button within your login form, you can enable that by going to Customize > General Options > and checking off "Enable Create Account button within Login form":

Adding The Popup Link To A Specific Page

If you prefer to add a Login / Account popup onto a specific page of your website you can also feel free to do that.

1. Click the "Copy" button under "Login / Account Popup":

2. Make sure you are logged into your WordPress backend

3. Click on Pages on the left side menu and then click on the page you want to add your Login / Account popup to:

4. Then click the "Add block" icon:

You can then add any type of link (e.g. text, button, etc.) In this example I'll select a Button:

5. Select the button's text and click the link icon, then paste in the code you copied before and click enter. Then click "Update" in the top right.
