How to add a Login / Account popup to Squarespace

Adding The Popup Link To Your Top Navigation

If you want to add the popup link into your top navigation so anyone can click it at any time, follow the instructions below.

1. Click the "Copy" button under "Login / Account Popup":

2. Make sure you are logged into your Squarespace backend

3. Click "Pages" on the left:

4. Click the + icon to the right of Main Navigation:

5. Scroll down and click on the "Link" icon:

6. Enter any text you want for the Link Title (e.g. "Member Login"), then for the "Link" section paste in what you copied previously, then click "SAVE" at the bottom:

7. Now whenever anyone clicks this link you just added, they will see your Login form popup.

To test this, you'll need to be on your live website (not the Squarespace editor).

Conveniently, when members are logged in, this will appear as a "Your Account" link automatically so your members can change their email, view invoices, update their credit card, cancel their subscription, etc.

Note - if you would like to also have a Create Account button within your login form, you can enable that by going to Customize > General Options > and checking off "Enable Create Account button within Login form":

Adding The Popup Link To A Specific Page

If you prefer to add a Login / Account popup onto a specific page of your website you can also feel free to do that.

1. Click the "Copy" button under "Login / Account Popup":

2. Make sure you are logged into your Squarespace backend

3. Click "Pages" on the left:

4. Find the page you want to add the popup link to and click it.

5. Edit the page content and then click the black bubble to add a new content block wherever you want:

6. You can add the popup link via Text, Image, or as a Button. In this example I'll select a Button:

7. Now whenever anyone clicks this link you just added, they will see your Login form popup.

To test this, you'll need to be on your live website (not the Squarespace editor).
