How to add a Member Link popup to Showit
You can easily add a login form popup to your top navigation or within a specific page of your website.
When members are logged in, the popup will appear as a "Your Account" link automatically so your members can change their email, view invoices, update their payment method, cancel their subscription, etc.
Instructions for adding the popup to your site's navigation and/or a specific page are below.
Adding to your site's navigation
In MemberSpace, click Customize in the left navigation > click Integrations > click Showit > scroll down to Member Link Options and click the Copy button under Popup:
- Make sure you are logged into your Showit backend.
Add a new option (e.g. "Member Login") to your navigation menu:
Select the new menu option you created and open Click Actions on the right:
Change the link Type to URL > paste what you copied previously > click Publish at the top:
- Now whenever anyone clicks this link you just added, they will see your login form popup. To test this, you'll need to be on your live website (not the Showit editor).
By default, the Login form will include a Create Account button. If needed, you can remove or edit the Create Account button.
Adding to a specific page
Member Link popups must be added to a website page where MemberSpace is installed.
If you prefer to add a Member Link popup onto a specific page of your website, you can also feel free to do that.
In MemberSpace, click Customize in the left navigation > click Integrations > click Showit > scroll down to Member Link Options and click the Copy button under Popup:
- Make sure you are logged into your Showit backend.
Click Site on the left:
- Under Pages, find the page you want to add the popup to and click it.
Next, click Page at the top:
Use the options at the bottom of the page to add a new content block wherever you want:
You can add the popup link via Text, Gallery, or a Rectangle with Text (i.e. a Button). In this example, we'll create a button using a rectangle with text:
- Once you add the rectangle and text elements to the page, select both the rectangle and text by holding Command or Shift and clicking both elements.
Under Click Actions on the right, click Configure Link:
Change the link Type to URL > paste the popup link you previously copied beside URL > click Save:
- Click Publish at the top, right.
- Now whenever anyone clicks this link you just added, they will see your login form popup. To test this, you'll need to be on your live website (not the Showit editor).
By default, the Login form will include a Create Account button. If needed, you can remove or edit the Create Account button.
