(Legacy Customers) Organize protected pages into products

If you protected pages on your website before March 5, 2024, follow the steps in this guide to organize your pages into multi-page products.

MemberSpace now makes it easier to protect and sell your digital content.

Your updated MemberSpace admin is structured around products, which are collections of specific protected pages on your website.

Grouping multiple protected pages into a single product makes it easier to manage and sell your digital content.

Products can also grant access to links on other websites (like a social media group, a Zoom event link, or a Canva template). These external links can be included in your Member Menu.

Though not required, we recommend organizing your existing protected pages as products, which will provide the best experience with MemberSpace.

This guide covers how to organize your existing protected pages into multi-page products.

Your existing protected pages

Any pages you previously protected with MemberSpace can now be found under Products in the left navigation.

Each page has been added to its own single-page product. If you'd like, you can continue to use MemberSpace this way.

Or, to organize your content in collections of protected pages (for example, an online course that includes multiple protected pages on your website), follow the steps below to group your pages into multi-page products.

STEP 1: Decide how you'll group your protected pages

First, choose how you'll organize your protected pages as products.

For example, you may group your content into specific products such as a Content Library, Course A, Course B, and a Paid Podcast.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Protected pages can be added to multiple products.
  • Plans now grant access to products, not individual pages. In other words, if Product A contains 3 protected pages, any plan that grants access to Product A will give access to all pages within it.
  • Each plan can grant access to unlimited products, and any product can be accessible to unlimited plans.
  • Products can contain protected pages (on your connected website) and/or external links (e.g. a social media group, a virtual meeting link, a template in another software like Canva, Google Sheets, etc.).

STEP 2: Convert a single-page product to multi-page

Next, edit one of your existing single-page products, creating the foundation for your new multi-page product.

  1. Under Products in the left navigation, click Edit next to an existing single-page product (one of your previously protected pages).

  2. Choose a product type from the dropdown.
  3. Give your product a name, and feel free to choose a different emoji or remove it altogether. The emoji you select will appear next to the product name in your Member Menu (if enabled).

  4. Scroll to the bottom and click Update Now.

This updated product is where you'll add the rest of the pages for your multi-page product. It currently has the same plan access as its single page had previously (though you can change that if you'd like).

STEP 3: Move existing protected pages

Now, you can easily move your other existing protected pages to the "new" product you just created.

  1. Under Products in the left navigation, click Edit next to one of the previously protected pages you'd like to include in your new multi-page product.

  2. Click the three dots next to the protected page > click Move item.

  3. Select the product you're moving to > click Move Now.

  4. After the protected page has been moved to your multi-page product, the single-page product will be automatically deleted. The protected page will now be available to anyone with access to your multi-page product.
  5. Repeat this process for any remaining protected pages that should be added to this product.
