How to setup your Duda site navigation for members
Website navigation is a very personal topic. The way you want members to move through and interact on your website is usually subjective but there are some good common options to consider. Below are the two main options MemberSpace customers have successfully used to ensure their user experience is intuitive :)
Option 1 - Create a navigation page for members only
This is one of the more popular approaches MemberSpace customers use. You would create a page in your Duda site (e.g. "/dashboard") and design it however you want. You would then add the page URL as a Member Page in MemberSpace.
You would make sure to include links on this dashboard page to the various other Member Pages on your website so this acts as the home base for your members to get anywhere else they need to go on your website. See this case study for a visual example.
You could also make this dashboard page the After Log In and After Sign Up page URL for your Member Plans so new and returning members are brought there automatically.
Additionally, you could add a link to this member dashboard page in your top navigation within Duda:
1. Make sure you are logged into your Duda backend
2. Click on Pages on the left, then click "New Page" at the top:
3. Click "Page URL":
4. Enter in any title you want to represent the page (e.g. Member Dashboard) then type in the URL of the dashboard page you previously created and then click Add Page:
Option 2 - Create a member page dropdown in your top navigation
If you prefer to have links to every Member Page easily accessible in your top navigation, we recommend you add a navigation folder.
You could set the navigation folder title to something like "Member Navigation" and then you would add links within the dropdown folder to your various Member Pages. Maybe you would even include a Login / Account popup here (which would turn into a Your Account link automatically after member's are logged in).
